   Sylvia Henderson, Chief Everything Officer (CEO) of Springboard Training, is a business woman, workshop facilitator, speaker, author, television and Internet radio host. She provides programs and resources that build knowledge, develop skills, and shape attitudes focusing on professionalism, interpersonal communication, life skills, and leadership.

   Her experience with instructional systems design methodologies, training, writing, leadership, and managing people spans three decades. (Note: Of course she started her professional career at the age of two. Wink, wink.) She led teams of trainers for private industry and federal training programs and managed a training function. She continues leading and developing people in her business and volunteer roles. Adult development is a life-long passion.

   While she spends considerable time learning about and custom-developing her programs for a wide range of industries, businesses, associations, and non-profits, she concentrates on the hospitality and youth-focused industries.
 

   Sylvia is a nationally recognized presenter and skilled, engaging education program facilitator for both small and large audiences. She is energetic, motivating, and loves to provide audiences an interactive experience in her programs. She makes liberal use of visuals and training tools and provides handouts for participant notes and reference. Her programs integrate her avocation and passion for motorcycles with solid business and life success principles.

   Ms. Henderson's corporate experience includes IBM, Loral Federal Systems, Lockheed-Martin, America Online, and American Management Systems (AMS).

   Sylvia is a writer and published author on communication, leadership, professionalism, motivation...and motorcycle-related topics.  She writes and co-writes books, learning aids, and job reference materials; is featured in and writes for magazines, newspapers, and online media; and interviews as the featured guest on radio programs throughout the U.S.A.

   Media credits include host of her own television program “Think About It!” on MMC-TV16 which is a weekly talk program on personal and professional development topics, and her Internet radio program also called “Think About It!”.
 

   Ms. Henderson is a volunteer trainer for and life member of the Girl Scout organization at both local council and national levels. She also participates as a walker and crew member for breast cancer research and education in the Washington DC. area. Sylvia served as National President of Women On Wheels® Motorcycle Association and received the American Motorcyclist Association’s (AMA) MVP recognition.

   Ms. Henderson holds an Education degree from Cheyney University of PA. and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh, PA.

   Active in the business and professional communities of Prince Georges County and Montgomery County Maryland, her Chamber of Commerce past and current affiliations include the Prince Georges County (PGCCC); Baltimore-Washington Corridor (BWCC); Greater Olney; and Montgomery County (MCCC) Chambers of Commerce. Her professional affiliations include Toastmasters International (ATMGold-level speaker), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and acceptance as a professional member to the National Speakers' Association (NSA). Leadership roles in NSA include Chapter President and Board leadership of NSA-DC (the Washington DC chapter), and Chair of the Seminar & Workshop Leaders Program Experts Group (PEG) nationally. She is also the Dean of NSA-DC’s Speakers University, an annual event that promotes and teaches the business of speaking professionally.
